It means that one of your ink cartridges is not working properly. Try reinstalling the cartridge. If that doesn't work, your supposed to replace it. I find that if it is a color cartridge, there should be a way to over ride or ignore it, but I haven't found a way to do that yet.
I produced a photocopy of a document controlling the process through my printer's controls and it worked fine. Hopeful, I then connected my printer to my computer through a USB cable and it *did not work* giving me the same errors. Next, I connected my printer to a different, older, computer through the USB cable and it worked fine, no problems.
The printer screen allows me to print testing/information pages, so it's not a physical problem. It's something to do with the network connection, but everything looks like it's fine.
