The BBC claims that in the lead up to this summer's exams, its GCSE revision site, Bitesize revision, netted 2.6 million swats in May alone - half a million more than in the same month last year.

The app is for students in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. It contains GCSE, National 4, National 5, Higher and TGAU subjects including maths, science, English, history and many more.
