How to Breakfall Safely! When we’re practicing our forward breakfalls, we never want to be in a rush to sit up and post our hand on the floor. This will build the habit of posting our arm to the floor which can cause serious injuries when being thrown by a partner. Instead, practice extending your body and slapping the floor with your arm to slightly help absorb impact.
