Snowy 2.0 is a critically important, pumped-hydro expansion of the Snowy Scheme that will help underpin Australia’s transition to a renewable energy future. Construction progress continues across multiple worksites in the Snowy Mountains. At Tantangara, the project team is currently conducting works to stabilise soft ground and enable tunnel boring machine Florence to restart excavating the headrace tunnel.
