Even if you’re playing a song that doesn’t have many chords, you can still create movement and voice leading with triad inversions. In this example, I’m taking a chord progression that only has 2 chords: F Major & G Major. To create movement, I’m using the root position, 1st inversion, and 2nd inversion of these triads.
